jQuery API の jQuery . trim( str ) は、strに指定した文字列の先頭と末尾から、whitespace（空白、改行、タブ）を削除するメソッド。
引数
- str
先頭と末尾のwhitespace（空白、改行、タブ）を削除したい文字列。
戻り値
- String
先頭と末尾のwhitespace（空白、改行、タブ）を削除した文字列。
記述方法
jQuery . trim( 文字列 )
「文字列」に指定した文字列の先頭と末尾から、whitespace（空白、改行、タブ）を削除。
記述例
jQuery( '#sample' ) . text( jQuery . trim( ' サンプル ' ) );
「 サンプル 」から、先頭と末尾の空白を削除し、idが「sample」の要素に「サンプル」と表示する。
